WHAT IS LIVE FROM LOCKDOWN?

Each week Colin Smith has been going live on youtube. We do a live Photoshop show. This includes tutorials, tips, challenges, prizes, Q+A and interaction in the chats.

This was started as a way for us to get away from the madness of the global lockdown for an hour a week. It s a time where the PhotoshopCAFE.com and the Youtube CAFE Crew Family all come together. This happens every Thursday at 1pm Pacific time.

This is a different format than the usual Tuesday tutorials and is more of an interactive format and we tend to go a little deeper into certain things as well as exploring multiple ways of doing things. The people attending these live events absolutely love it and they return every week for more.

Im going to share each weeks replays here

You really should join live if you can, its a LOT of fun and there are hundreds of us all coming together in community.

You can join the “live from lockdown” livestream here at 1Pm every Thursday (Its free)

  1. Loved your video. Did not know about making my own LUT. By now, I’m sure someone has let you know how to load 3rd Party (or your own) LUTs into the right Photoshop folder. Anyway, in case you haven’t, here’s the place (in Windows):
    c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Presets\3DLUTs. On the MAC:
    /Applications/Adobe Photoshop/Presets/3DLUTs.

  2. This was an excellent learning opportunity! Thank you Colin for sharing your time, talent, and knowledge with us. It was great to see how to create our own LUTs (I had heard this could be done, but didn’t know how to approach it) and the options on creating B&W images that sing. Lastly, I have to say, I even learned a few new things when you were working in Camera Raw, in the ‘Fix my Photo’ portion. So, for all this, thank you very much!!

  3. Hi Colin,
What about a great tutorial on editing the Milkyway in PS. Thius is always a tricky one with lots of noise and colour problems as well as colour temperature adjustments for night skies.

  4. I’ve been enjoying your Live From Lockdown whenever I can. I usually find something new in your tutorials and always enjoy learning.
You have asked for suggestions for topics. If you’ve covered it in the past, please let me know. I would like to know more about how and when to use each of the filter blurs. Could you cover this topic in your Thursday Live From Lockdown series, please. Thanks!
