Hullo new friends
Hi everyone! New to the forum here and I hope I will be able to learn some new tricks and maybe help out here and there as well.
I'll start with a question... I need to make a circle from a band. It's sort of a Celtic band. I was hoping I could create a circle work path and
paste the image into it, but I have tried with no good results.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!
Here's a link to the image i am starting with if it will help.

Hi there
Welcome to the cafe. I would suggest using polar coordinates to wrap the band in a circle

Hello and welcome to the cafe!
Make a brush from the shape in Illustrator.
Then apply the brush to a circle path.

Welcome to the forum! Polar coordinates will work, and if you are careful, I have used this in conjuction with the smudge tool or the liquify tool to
push small details around. I know, it sounds like... What!?!? But, honestly... it works. Again, welcome. I look forward to seeing your work.
