Do you still use lens filters?
It would be great to hear how many of you are still using lens filters like polarizers and others. I have not used them for ages but i have been
thinking to buy few like UV just for lens protection purpose.

I still use a polarizer (when i remember to pack it) and a Gradated Neutral Density filter
they still has a great benefit.
A lot of the other filters, I've stopped using because they don't translate very well (Red, yellow, etc)

I had a UV filter on my newly purchased 105 VR (when it was newly purchased). I opened my bag a few days later and it was shattered inside the bag? no
clue how that happened but I have not replaced it yet nor bought one for any other lens of mine.
No CP either though it is on my list of things to buy

UV filter/lens protector and a polarizer is always attached to the 50mm lens on the 35mm camera.
Some how I can't seem to keep a regular lans cap around very long.
Picked up a box of different filters at a yard sale for $10. Good catch as these suckers ain't cheap.

Never uses UV and that sort of protectors....
I have a lot of filters, and shot some with it just a few weeks ago to see if i would keep them...... I don't think i will keep them because all of
the filters can be done in photoshop nowadays......

I have a uv filter on all of my lenses for protection. I do use a circular polarization filter when ever I am shooting outdoors in sunlight, and now
and again in the studio when shooting reflective products like glass or silver. Any other filtering effects are applied in post processing using
photoshop.

I have:
UV on some lenses for protection.
Graduated filters - light and dark grey, tobacco, blue to bring down contrast between bright and dark areas e.g. sky / landscape

several ND for slow water work
Close-up +4 diopter for getting real up close and personal.
Also have the same outfit (except Close-up) for medium format (film photography, remember that!?) and including red filter for b+w

Politik, imagine if you didn't have that UV that got shattered on your lens, that would mean the replacement of a camera lens instead of a $20 or
$30USD UV
If you use filters all of the time and keep them attached then I guess you wouldnt need the UV until the sunlight burned something out.
I use UV, Circular Polarizer, FDL Flourescent and a filter that I cannot remember the name of that emulates evening light in daylight hours.
Worth the jingle wouldn't you think?

I keep a UV filter on all the time, I think I'd like to invest in a polarizer soon, as well....

I've bought lots of filters over the years, some rather costly. I use a polarizer when I want longer shutter speeds for panning. No UV's in
front-probably a good idea to use them.

I use UV for protection on all lenses and still have Moose circular polarizers for sky shots, but hardly use those. Matt, so that UV saved the lens
then? Nice one!
