how to create a mp3 player in flash

hey thankx i gonna need ya man cause i've been looking for a long time now!. see i'm making this dj site and he wants it to play one of his mixes. i think streaming would be better right? he might want like 3 songs to be played so... but i created the design in ps so all i have left is that player. i have the buttons made and all in ps. just need some coding i guess. whats the best way to have this feature but also be ok for dialup users. are there programs to tremendously decrease the size of an mp3 file or something or is there a special way of doing it. see i'm on broadband so everything comes up pretty quick for me. well thank you and how to hear from you soon!

Hi again - the best way of doing an MP3 player is to get Flash to load in the MP3 files externally. That way, it cuts down on the size of swf by a lot and also gives us more control over stopping and starting the music.

I'm guessing you'll need:

• Previous Track/Next Track button (or are you going to have numbered buttons to play a track??)
• Visual display of track title
• Display how much of the track has already played in mins:secs

Do you want to let me know what sort of other features this MP3 player needs to have? Either post them up here or IM them to me and I'll try and put some kind of tut together over the next few days.
