Tables Moving Problem

Hi, Ive had this problem with tables for a long time, ive read the dreamweaver bible and everything and still cant figure it out, what happens is when i put like say a picture in a table it will move out on the side or top and bottom and even when i try to adjust the table it wont move at all, ive tryed resizeing the pics and then puting them in there and everything, i just cant figure out what im doing wrong, Is there a way i can lock the tables so they dont move? maybe someone could tell me the steps they take to puting in a picture or something but like i said ive read all kinds of stuff on tables, its not all of them that give me a problem, thanks for any help

Tables are indeed annoying but they get easier the more you practice. My suggestion to you is start with tables from the beginning and use notepad to do this table tutorial. [link]

From basic to nested, it explains row and column(sp?) spans, this is where I think you're going wrong, so check it out and I hope it helps you out. I recommend the rest of you who are unsure of tables to do this also as it will give you greater k&u about tables and how they work!!

Thanks - I did the tutorial but im still having some problems , what happens is when i put a picture in a table it stretchs it and when i try to pull the table back up it wont move, does the same thing if i try to make the picture or the table with a picture in it bigger it just keeps stretching out without letting me make it fit

Percents are your friend. Do EVERYTHING in percents. If you put a picture that is 300 pixels wide in a 100 pixel wide table. THEn that table will expand to be 300pixels. but if you put the picture to 100% width then it will expand to the tables settings. :-) hope this helped.

Hi, thanks for the reply but im not sure how to put the picture in at 100% i know how to change it once its in but is there a way i can make it go in that way cause the other way i half to put the pic in first which stretchs the table, thanks

hi heres wut happens to me i put a pic that is bigger in than the table then the hole size screws up so i resize it then i click on the canvas to to the right and the table fix's its self when i click
