dont think i ever will get a tattoo. after a while the symbol one thought was "soo cool" will be regular and seen everywhere...then youre stuck with it.

But i guess i dont really understand the "tattoo-world", right?

lol I'm sure davey can agree, your first tattoo it feels a bit annoying (not painful) then everytime after you hear the needle buzz you get this feeling and you just want to dive into the chair and feel it again....least thats how i feel. they don't hurt as much as people seem to think...

and as for my tattoos, I dont have a digital camera (i know i know ) hehe. so i'll tell you what i got. A tribal sun i made myself on my shoulder. a take on the patriotic canadian flag that seems oh so overdone (but its ok cause mine is different from everyone elses so far a armband going across my bicep on my right arm as well

As for up and coming tattoos im playing with these ideas

- wings. small wings on my shoulder blades.
-Another tribal armband.
-I plan to make a bigger tribal sun to go over my previous one. it will run across my shoulder towards my pecs and down my arm a bit. should look good.
- something on my neck...probably my birthsign (saggitarius)
-toying with the idea of getting Latin words on my forearms...I'd tell you the words but i dont want noone stealing my ideas till i got em already they have much meaning though to me at least

annnnd to top it off my eyebrow is pierced currently

Zdub when is your b-day?
And don't steal my saggitarius that everybody hates

But the first tattoo(half circel) wasn't anyoing at all.
I was to nerves to feel anything.
But after 30min I fel asleep.
But whenever I go into the shop and I hear the buzzing I wanne dive in it.

But by me comming up, hmmmmmm

for my right arm:
Keltic band with my birthsign in it. someting like this ====0==== makes sence huh
Then I still need to do dig my greek mythology to find a name that I forgotten about.(love greek mythology)

right leg:
Half sleeve oriental b/w

back:
Praying hands

And as for the eyebrow piercing

I only wish I could get a tattoo. But, since I'm only 14, I kinda can't. Dargh! It sucks. I want to get one with a demon head right in the center of my back. I don't know what else though, I've got a few years to think about it unfortuneatly.

nice body art, thanks for sharing.

at the risk of taking a different perspective i would like to express my concern about tatoos not to put a damper on things or anything. you've probably already heard from your mother that they are forever. yeah?

things i loved at 19, i would be totally embarassed to be advertising on my aging body at 42. how well do tatoos wrinkle anyway?

i've never had a tattoo but have stared at many on my dad's arms. none of them had my mother's name or hair color but she didn't seem to mind. unlike my friend, who insisted that the ex girlfriend's 'marks' be removed at all cost. her dude went to a professional but still, the once beautiful body art was reduced to nothing but an ugly scar.

my teenaged kids still have a fear of needles. we have allowed ear piercings trying to be totally cool parents but worry about impulsive decisions regarding tatoos.

without wanting to sound like your mother....think hard and pick areas that are easy to hide from prospective employers. most unfortunately not everyone appreciates beautiful body art.

btw i do like the looks of ones done properly with small details and heavy ink.

TechZsue,

I don't think you're putting a damper on anything. You have valid points. I got my first tatt at 28. It's no more than 2 inches square and on my shoulder - easily hidden in any outfit. Believe me I thought about it for a year before I got it. I realized that it was forever and went with something that meant something to me if no one else. You've added a dash of cold sense to tattoo fever. Nothing wrong with that :-)

This is mine : http://www.symbols.com/encyclopedia/26/2646.html

your totally right about the place.
you would think about mine on the wrisk that is hard to hide but it's very easy.
but thx to fosill watch it's extreemly easy to hide

Detail work is what I want and what I get
I've seen some work that if just terible.
If you wanne tattoo people don't look at the price of it but look how it's done.
Better pay a little more then something that is crap.

My mask tattoo was 340$ but the detail of it is worth it while I could had easyly done for 100$

Also stay away from tattoo conventions.
Well look is nothing but don't get a tattoo there, that for healt reasons
