the idea is gr8 m8!
On the front page
Why won't you explore a bit with displacements maps, you could make the text look like it really belonged into the "gate" if you like

I agree I'm afraid to say and also the Iframe could be near enough the same colur as the tombstone.
In all a decent iamge!!![]()
Good suggestions. I've been thinking about making a background for the iframe so I think I'll work a little bit more on that.
Viika> I'll have to read more on displacement as I'm still learning here, but I'll see what I can find out. Do you know of any tutorials that pertain to this?

There's one (and the best) tutorial in where else but in Photoshopcafe tutorials section.
Can be found under the section Special FX!
It's very useful and easy to follow.
Thank you again Colin.
mm .. I tried the displacement map thing and it didn't turn out exactly how I was thinking. However I did do some tweaking as far as blending and came up with this. What d'ya think?

Tell me something please...? what does your sig translate as..!![]()

Ok here you go Martin
It's a children's poem (my favorite back then) about a mouse (hiiri) who leaps into a grandfather clock (kello) then the clock breaks and the mouse leaps out
'hickory tickory tock
a mouse lept into a clock
but then the clock broke
and the mouse lept outta clock'
rhymes much better in Finnish!
AND Austin4,
With using the displacement map I meant you could try making the text look like it's "carved" on the wood. That's what the tutorial is about. Or actually how the make for example a text 'follow' and run along the surface.
But the red text is cool, too. Drop out the drop shadow if you like but I think it's cool that way too.
Sorry about several editings I'm making too many typos today...
