start by signing up here 3D BUZZ.COM its free and the best place on the web to learn 3d..... discreet have a free version of their software you can download and try for courses such as this..... you could also try houdini which is alot harder but one of the very best 3d apps out there.and they have an awesome free version.

if your still serious about getting these progs for free try gmax and wings 3d they are free and industry pros still use them as although they arent great they still do a great job.... your a learner you dont need 3dsmax yet believe me it will just confuse you.

Im sure he meant 'trial version' All trials are free so its probablt that he was talking about.

Trust me - try and learn one of the easier ones first, like wings 3d...If u try that and cant work it then theres no hope for u in the real 3D world....that is of course until u become experienced with other programs.

Wings is great. Just like Mirai (which unfortunatly isnt made anymore)

Maya is coming out with a home release, its supposed to be the full program as long as you dont sell your work you make in it. Trial ware only, just no time limit. October 15. yum
