    Can I make a wire globe easily????

    Does that 3d render thing or something else allow me to make a 3-d wire globe easily?

    If not, can anyone tell me how?????

    You can, but as I mentioned in another post, you'll be missing the middle of the globe...

    Heres what I came up with using 2 cross pattern fills, spherize, and pinch. Then adding land over the top.

    Ooohhhhh....thats pretty good, TWiley, that deserves a tutorial somewhere!!!

    I used Phils FINE METHOD!! (thanks rodent) and came up with this.... (I am making this for a friend, this is a full page for the front of her binder)

    any suggestions?

    There's a wireframe sphere just like that one on Phong, TWiley. The reason I wanted to move away from it is because the lines of latitude and longtitude are too equal on that one in my humble opinion. I was looking for something that gave them different weight (longtitude intersecting at the poles, latitude equidistant)... if you want to coordinate a new one with me that *has* the intersecting poles, that would be awesome.

    Cool, we might be able to come up w/something. I'll have to check the one out your talking about, Ive never seen it. Thanks for the hint on where to go though. heheheh

    Wow thats different than the way I did it, They didnt even create the back side.
