problems with files from illustrator to quark...

when i do type in illustrator i save it as outlines and what not. when i print it from quark it's still coming out all jagged and rough, and that's with atm deluxe. I dont know if my printer is a post script printer or not i think that might be the problem i'm not sure. Any help???

    Yup, not postscript.

Distill via acrobat distiller, or save page as EPS and print from Illustrator.

You might not be able to distill properly if you dont have a post-script printer. Also, when you save the illustrator file, make it an EPS and just make sure all the options are settled. Just play with it and if you are still having problems, might as well make it a 300 dpi tiff just to get the project done.
