I was getting pretty excited following these tutorials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_ceT...hannel&list=UL .

I'd imported a head .obj that I had modeled and had managed to merge a face photo onto it. But then when I went to add another piece (an ear) nothing happened. I could not get the layer to merge no matter what I did. So I tried starting over, and this time I couldn't even get the face to merge.

It seems that merging a 2d layer onto a 3d layer is completely unpredictable for me. Sometimes it works, but most often it works only partially. A band of the 2d image will be merged onto the 3d layer, but not the whole image. See the screenshot below for an example...for some reason only the bottom fifth of the image gets applied. I can still paint on the .psb image or on the model itself.

Any idea what would cause this to happen? It's very frustrating.
