A Question About Printers

I have CS 2 and have had it since it was new. When I recently bought a new computer, a Samsung Series 9, the old printer, an HP 8500 All-In-One was recognized right away by all my programs -- except the Photoshop. I can't print from Photoshop, but even worse, I can't import into Photoshop. I do watercolor and ink artwork which I scan into Photoshop and then manipulate it. So this is very important to me! I can't seem to find the setting to turn on the printer preferences properly.

sounds like you need to do a proper installation of the printer?
download drivers from hp or use the cd that came with the printer.

i think it is photoshop that he needs to reinstall. it seems that the printer's fine as all of the his other software are able to detect it. but if the problem still persists, then it might be your computer setup that might be creating the problem.
