    R.i.p.

    After 6 years of enjoyment my macbook pro its a bout to die, not sure what happen, when i turn it on, normal, if i try to open anything, i have the message of program quit unespectedly, and then it shuts down, it try to restart itself
    But before restarts completely , shut down again and repeats the same thing...

    My dvd drive it dosent work, i try to reboo tthe OS via app store but itshots down itself in the process...And same history..
    Must data is on an external HD, thank God all my work is there....

    Any thoughts apreciated before i max the credit card?.. Hehe.
    Maybe the title to catchy, but maybe you can recomend me something i havent try...

    Have you tried reloading your operating sys. EDIT: (I guess that might be a little hard without a DVD drive, but you could set up an external DVD) or have you called tech support to work through the problems to see if you need to send it in? Make sure to get an RMA number from Mac if you do end up sending it in. Six years is a lot of time on a machine, but that is an awesome piece of technology and it would be a shame to give up on it and your pocket book might love you for the end result! Just a thought!     PS Or how about getting that one fixed for a backup and still buy a new one! That would be sweet!

    Thanks cappy, i think ill tryit all, goes to service center tomorrow, hope theycan fix it, would be nice to have an imac, but....

    Mother board die,do to a small water filtration a few years ago...
    New IMAC is on the way!
