    Pen tool

    i'm trying to draw something on my screen with a pen tool but after drawing a simple letter L i get this.

    What's doing this? how can I fix it?

    you have a fill color turned on. We have a decent tutorial on the site for the pen tool, check it out

    Kiwis, Welcome to the Café!

    Your Pen Tool is presently set to the default, “Shape Layers” (Top Control panel)
    As you are using the Pen Tool tool, it is filling your open path with a Fill Color (Shape Layer).

    With the Pen Tool selected, your other option is to select “Paths” or “Fill Pixels (Top Control panel) - depending upon what you prefer.

    Hi kiwis, i think colin say a decent tutorial, in my experience, Photoshop is about Experimentation, clic here there , see what this and that do, make mistakes....Experiment!
    That tutorial is a good starting point to comprehend the pen tool, there are also many ways to achieve the same results.
