This is a first for me. I am not usually a blog/forum person. But The Cafe has a very promenant rep. So I thought I'd join to see if I can receive the help I'm lookiing for. I am retired now and planning to learn and use the graphic skills I've always wanted to spend time on. I like to make photo books using Powerpoint with the family photos I take. I am always looking for backgrounds and interesting settings that I can use. I recently created a photobook for a family member who got married. I tried to photograph a piece of satin as a background but it didn't turn out well at all. I've come to The CAFE to see if anyone has a Photoshop CS5 formula for making different kinds of real looking textures that can be used as backgrounds. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I also want to learn to use Photoshop CS5 Filters, but I haven't found a good book that tells how to do that yet. I really need help.
