Don't know the camera. We don't use those in Europe.

I think both lenses are good. Take a look here for better advice...

In Europe this camera goes by another name. Doesn't matter.... You're asking about lenses. Find the advice you where looking for on that website?

I really like that website. It's great advice they give.

Both of the lens which have been selected best suits the canon. It just depends on the person that how much do they want to use it. If still the confusion persists then check for the specifications of both the lenses. Some lenses are specifically designed for a particular brand. Also ask for the trial version and look out which one of them are capable of good quality snap shots. Search in portals, magazines, search engine and discuss with people. The problem will be sorted out automatically.
