When did everyone start on Photoshop?
I started on 2.5, it was the first version on Windows. I wasn't a mac user until just before they released OSX, so Ive been on mac about 10 years and PS for 20 years this year.

I think it was version 2.5, I was using Photoshop and remember when they introduced layers and we were all amazed and excited at how much that feature would make things easier and the possibilities that that would open up, I've been a Mac user since the beginning (I think I was 7 years old at the time
).

V5 and then quickly 5.5, I think I had 5 for about two weeks when 5.5 came out.

I started working on Photoshop V5 in high school Multimedia class. I quickly bought the 5.5 when it came out for Xmas and I used that until 7 came out.. I then purchased PS 7 when it came out after about 6 months after it came out, and have been using it since. I am currently looking into either getting CS4 or CS5 ...

Started at the library picked up some photo books one was Colins Photoshop book. I didn't know anything about Photoshop never heard of it. Book brought me to Colins web site, more they I saw just made me want to know more. So I started with Photoshop 7 in January 2008. I have a lot to learn and need to find time to to sit in front of a pc. I have a lot a first here at the CAFE, first time down loaded anything first form I join. The list goes on and on. Thank you Colin and everyone here at the CAFE for opening a hole new world to me. Thank you

Got my first computer ever, a Mac 7100 (with a *gasp* 700 MB harddrive), and waited a couple of days so that I'd get Photoshop 3 which was just being released.
Probably one of the best things I've ever done in my entire life. Haven't left my screen since.
