OK need help this is were I SUCK!!!!!

I'm working on a image of a girl, car & plane, I'm happy with the girl & the car but the plane looks like it was just a straight paste into the image. Have tried to blur and add a shadow but no luck.

any idea's - Help no idea of how to get the plane to fit. Click on the image for a large size

change the angle, and desaturate it a little bit, as things go in the distance, the atmosphere causes the colors to appear more muted

Thanks Steve, got me thinking again on how to make this one work.. As suggested I desaturated the plane, feathered it about 10 px, added a motion blur then added smoke trails...

how about a book on how on to finish images. IE tying images together you could take images that just miss the mark and explain where the artist (like me) went wrong & how to finish the image properly.

here is the, I hope finished image.

    Who's Steve?

Where is the shadow of the woman and the car, it looks like they are fitted in.

The shadow is under the car along with the girls shadow which is behind her.

do you have any helpful, constructive criticism that I can use maybe how to make it look less fitted in?

The shadow is behind the car. I think the shadow of the photographer is there too. Behind the girl is another shadow pointing in another direction. So to make image fit, you need to make a shadow for them...

Hmmm.... Ya this is were I fail as an artist.

    1) So in your opinion or expertise should I remove the original shadows using the burn & dodge tools or the clone stamp tool or just add the extra shadow of the model?
    2) To make the model and the car fit better, should I feather them a bit

Hermie - thanks for A) your help B) for your time & assistance

Believe me sir it is appreciated...

If you gonna ask me what I would do...

I would shoot my own photo with the car and the girl, so I don't have to put her in there. Then adding the plane and I was done, but that's just me.... That way I have the shadow.

Ahh - I see what you mean now. Good eyes, the girl and the car where shot together the shadow on the right is from my buddy holding a golden reflector onto the model. During the shot "I" failed to notice the shadow of the assistance on the car (right hand tail light side), and until now did not relies that I may have eliminated the shadow from the model with the reflector.

as I review the image again and again, I am noticing that the shadows from the trees on the right are running left to right of the picture & the shadow of my assistance is running right to left. Yes very confusing to the viewer.

the montage is 3 images, girl & the car, sky, and the plane. I took all 3 shots so any blame with the pictures fails squarely with me.

back to the drawing board, or I guess now a days it's a tablet :-)

    thanks Hermie, appreciate your honesty
