Having trouble with VISTA and my 5D

I was looking for a way to have my name into the camera settings. I thought I did it with Digital Photo Professional from Canon itself but I can't get my camera to work on my Vista 64-bits machine.

Is this a known problem or should I mount it to a XP machine and forget about it?

In the early days when i bought my camera, there were these cd's with it. The Canon DIGITAL EOS Solution Disk v 11.0

I installed these and attached my camera with a usb cable to the computer. Then you could enter all kinds of data to the camera, like your name.

I would like to do that again, but Vista doesn't recognize the camera, even when i installed all the drivers etc.... Installed all the programs, like Digital Photo Professional (updated to 3.4.1.1), ZoomBrowser EX, PhotoStitch.

Has anybody have this problem too or solved it...

    My main question would be:

How do I connect my camera to the pc?!
