    Interesting
I wonder how much Microsoft care about browsers? Its probably more in their interests to get people to upgrade their Windows. However, if they lose too much market share, it might be hard for them to get it back.

They need to wake up and realize that no one's going to upgrade their OS to get a new version of a browser. If Chrome/Opera/FF/Safari work on XP fine, IE9 should be able to.

I agree with both of you. The worst part is that even the new IE 9 (and from what I understaned 10 also) are still not going to adapt to standards.

The best thing that could happen to developers is that they lose all of their marketshare and get out of the browser business completely.

But don't you love having a update every two days recently for XP.
Get it right the first time.

I keep an XP laptop and an XP desktop but only for pre-win7 software such as the thousands of dollars of Director Xtras that won't work on Director 11 and naturally my pre 11 versions of Director won't work on win7. I haven't turned on either one since about December, I guess the next time I need to update someone's old Director app I'll be in for an entertaining few hours of updates.....

    It's a great life if you don't weaken....lol

I keep an XP laptop as well. Its more of a no-choice thing as majority of large public/civil service sectors and corporations are still working on Windows XP.

I would not upgrade my windows for another non-standard compliant and bloated browser. There are alternatives and better alternatives.

Micro$oft were slow starters to the web game and it looks like weak enders too. I mean what have they done in the app world? Anything?
