Hi all, I stumbled onto this forum looking for *someone* who has a solution for this illustrator problem:

I'm creating final versions of a vector logo which has some reversed-out text. In mock-ups, I used white text on black. Now that the logo is finalized, I'd like to cut it out of the black so that whatever background color is used can show through. Unfortunatley, my post-subtraction image has much lighter type (or heavier black) than my pre-subtraction image.

The image on the left is white on black. The image on the right is cut out of the black. (this isn't the whole logo, just an example bit).

It's a subtle difference, but since I'm trying to optimize the type for tiny printing, it's quite important.

Thanks!
