    CS5

    just purchased photoshop CS5 and learning the differences as I am coming from PS6.

    with PS6 and imageready when you saved a PSD file with slices it retained the slices. after finishing a new website layout I saved it uploaded it, etc...

    When I went back to make a change to the slices I see they are gone in all 3 of the files I saved. Is there something I am missing here. I definately would like to retain the slices for future changes.

    Photoshop CS5 has amazing functions than its previous versions.....

    From the main PSD that you created the slices in they are there, you just prob cant see the guides:

    View ---> Show ---> Slices

    If you need to make a change to the slice just make the change, select the slice with the slice selection tool, then "Save for Web & Devices" in the Save dialog box make sure you choose: "Slices: Selected Slices"

    BTW that is in CS4 but 99% chance that did not change
