Help for noob please
I''m helping out a mate - or trying to. I've uploaded and successfully published websites that I've designed from scratch.
I'm working on a flash site using a template and adapting/editing. I've have all the appropriate files how do I upload this flash site to my mates server is it the same process as a normal website or are there other factors steps that i need to do and be aware of

if i understand what ur asking (ha!) I don't think so. a Linux server is a Linux server and as long as the directory structure of your site is kept intact and the permissions are all set correctly, there should be no problem using FTP to transfer a site from server to server. Flash is pretty much self contained within the structure, unless you are doing something with say MySQL. hope that helps!

It should be exactly the same steps to upload a flash website to a server as it would be with a html file. If you want the flash website to show up as the index page i would suggest embeding it into a index.html file and uploading both the .swf and index.html file.
