    Waverly Liquor Delivery

I've been a fan of 1940s/50s pickups for many years and usually save them for my own viewing.

This one, I've passed by for years and always think "I'll capture it next time when the light is better or when I'm not in such a hurry, or when there's fewer people.

Going through Waverly on Tuesday, I actually forced myself to turn around and go back to shoot it. the light wasn't perfect and I was in a rush and there were dozens of people standing around wondering what I was doing.

This HDR is 4 exposures 0.0, +1.0, -1.0, -2.0 processed in Photomatix Pro 3 and adjusted slightly in PS CS3 (highlights and shadows)

I love those old cars too. I like the image and the color but the shadow of the headlight looks like it is fixed... Not real, and i think it's because of the halo underneath it.

Please show more of these oldie's and don't be selfish about the photos

    Shots of old machinery rule.

...and yeah, better not to wait to shoot something that ya go by daily, 'cuz someday it might not be there. Case and point with an old 1870's toll cabin at the bottom of the canyon next to the river that I'd pass everyday to work and back. Decided to stop because the light was good for shooting, only to find that the building was removed.

Ron, that's happened to me way too many times. That's always heart breaking.

A great lesson to be learned. Don't hesitate. Shoot the damn thing already.
