    Maastricht, Netherlands

The Story returns from Maastricht this time...

A photo I took from Maastricht. It was starting to get dark.

    Processing:

Use Denoise, Tone Mapping, Denoise again and Simplify.

I normally wouldn't do this but I think I have to

Here's the Tone Mapping xmp I used on this image and many more. Remember this is the standard, after loading it in Tone Mapping (You need Photomatix for this one), play with the settings. Oh and you'll need the image to be in 16-bit or else the tone mapping doesn't work at all.

Have fun and enjoy, let me know what you think (C&C).

This is a really nice example of restraint using Photomatix.

The exposure is blended nicely with just enough punch to give it that artistic, painterly feeling.

I like the image too. a beautiful scene.

Thanx Fotodog, that's how I felt it, spot on.

Tried the file yet. I'm curious... Did it work for you and your Nikon

    Wonderful processing Hermie.

One small suggestion. Clone out the bit of blue and white parking sign just above the bushes. One I saw it I couldn't stop looking at it.
