Illustrator Graphs to objects

Hi all been awhile...again! Trust everyone is doing well, and ejoying the summer days!

My question is, when I click graph and the selection tool, click object point to graph and click column, I get this error:

"Can't use the column design. One or more columns must be selected to set a column design"

I have my graph and the design to be replaced.

Any clue where I am going wrong??

I don't really do much graph's in Illustrator.

This is you can convert by the new software from Corel Draw this is nice software you can just copy
paste your data from the Illustrate and make this objects from this software....
