    Great job everyone.
Looks like a fun little project.

Today I downloaded and installed Adobe’s Pixel Bender Photoshop free plugin.

I never knew about this. Fun stuff!
    I also did some research.

Cool result and thanks for the link, it's always fun to play with new plugins (particularly free ones). And you're right, this is shaping up to be a fun one.
I doubt I'll get to shoot mine tonight, a Monday AM deadline looms and my progress today has been like running in water.

Frank, thank you for starting a fun and simple challenge!

I just happen to stumble upon Pixel Bender and Photoshop CS4.
So I thought I would share it.
It is so much fun to play with.
More toys in the toy box I always say.

In my research, I found a link by our very own Matt Keefe.

    That's twisted! Seriously, awesome treatment.

    Here's my effort.
Original shot taken in El Portal, California. Not a new shot, but a sorta recent one, if that counts. Nonfunctioning engine on display with a water tower and a working turntable at the other end.

Fixed as per visual suggestion by Frank.

Cool shot and recent (or even old if need be) are fine, it's all about learning and fun. I like your choice of selection here, the only thing I might suggest (not that it needs anything it really works well just as it is) but for fun you might try to enrich the colored part and maybe even tweak the levels of the B&W to try and get a strong graphic look.

No strict deadlines at all, let's just see how it progresses. If people keep throwing them in we'll just keep this one going and when it fades we'll start a new one.

Nice edit Frank , just a suggestion is it possible to allow the image edit here, it will much easier sometimes to show what one mean, Matt probably maybe can add some image edit sign to members profile if one allows the edit

Yeah, bugs me. Bugs me that I didn't go that far the first time. Gotta step back once and a while, give the ol'eyes a rest. Thanks for the alteration Frank. It really improved the image. I posted an updated image.
