adding Pre loader to a website

Hi,

Feel like the biggest noob ever!

I have been making a website and have not added a pre loader yet. The embarasing truth is i negelected to ever learn how to make them. I have found an array of free pre loader fla's. However the big trouble i am having is adding it to my current fla website file!

When ever i try to add a pre loader to my website it just ceases to work. If anyone is up for the challenge of helping me let me know and i will supply you with all the information needed.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
