Web Dude
For me the logo is unreadable, as the others have already said. But if the client is happy and its what they are looking for then great, but I would advise them of the points that have been raised here.

Try stroking the font in red or white about 1 or 2 points and use your kerning and spread em just a bit. That would help. Otherwise........

hello dave and cappy
... i went over some of the points that were made on this thread, so now I'm waiting for him to get back to me, he has another guy coding his site so hopefully we can work something out, thanks for posting

Im not going to beat a dead horse here and say what everyone has said. But I would approach the client with the ideas that have been stated in here and see how they feel.

Boss Man
I know it's been said, but, Even if you desaturate the word "AM" or even make it white, it will fix the readability part

Hi Freedom and Colin, Even tho he loves this version he's open, so I'll create and present him with different versions this week and then post. thanks for responding.
btw does this thread deserve the "cc" icon?
-
ok i think the client is happy with both versions

thanks for the tips

What would it look like on a white background?
-
The "am" would be gray, but his site background and business cards are black, and i know what your getting at with the professional presented versions.
-
Since people seem to have a hard time reading it, a font change is definitely in order. There are a lot of different ways of defininf "tribal" and this is but one of them. Don't be afraid to make changes when they're for the better.
