Batch scanning, editing and saving with actions in Photoshop
Hi folks,
I'm having a bit of trouble in getting this right: I want to scan a number of pages of a paperback book I own, do some mild editing, then save each page with an automatic serial number, then close. Note that the scanning is done through Photoshop through the Import command.
So here's what I have done so far:
1. I make an action called Scan, Edit and Save (closing it is optional). I also bind a shortcut key (F2) to start the action up when I will be needing it.
2. I Start recording the action with my editing, which includes, scanning, cropping, auto levels, rotate, image size, save and close. I stop the recording.
3. I go to Files > Automate > Batch and I choose the following options:

Basically what I want is to be able to press F2 and run it all at once automatically without me moving a finger, only needing to, when it's done, change the page of the book and put it back again in the scanner, pressing F2 to start the whole process, all while each image is being saved as 001, 002, etc.
Currently with this setup I'm not making it and that's why I'm here to learn with a more experienced user.
