Started learning about a year ago, haven't gotten around to writing anything original, but I can pick up a new song pretty quickly...
I just got a little Squire Strat from Rockely's a few weeks ago, my first electric, no whammy bar, but I can live with it.
I also play a 1973 Alvarez jumbo acoustic that actually belongs to my mother, but has the cleanest sound of any acoustic I've heard. hanging on to that one.

I've heard good things about the Fast Track Pro and will be picking one up for myself within the next couple on months for a small writing studio setup.

Currently we are using a Lexicon Omega which is, I understand, a bit more finicky to set up correctly depending on the OS -- but it's working great as well for off-the-floor stuff where we have a number of instruments submixed through our board and feeding the Omega. We've only done preliminary MIDI sends though and will probably need to pick up a MIDI hub for proper routing.

Ended up picking up a Yamaha Audiogram3. So far, I'm digging it -- no drivers to install, no power cable. MIDI is seperate out through an EDIROL UM-1X which I've had for years.

Colin, you rich Ba$$$rds you P%%ss me off. I played for about 50 years and then I took athritiis ( if that's how you spell it) in my left thumb, and I can't play now. I used to play a Fender semi acoustic, and I miss it so much. The cost of old age. My son, Danny, keeps showing me how much he has improved and I keep saying, very good, I like it. All the time I am thinking lots of bad things. (like wait till your my age).
I keep quoting songs And We Built Ths City on Rock and Roll.
That aint Elvis. I am talking about real Rock.
If anyone wants to talk about real music, give me an u2u. I know real music.
My regards to all music lovers
    Jim

Sorry Boss for being a prat but this is one forum I think I can say what I like to you. I was a Pro.
    My Regards
    Jim

p.s. I played as a support artist (group) to T-Rex in Glasgow and Edinburgh).

Sounds like you were quite the player in your day.

Rich, nah, Ive been collecting my guitars for 20 years and they are much cheaper in US than they were in NZ.
