Thought I'd try processing this one a little differently.

Magical. It reminds me a bit of the old days spent in the darkroom, printing from things called "negatives", onto something called "print paper", using stuff called "chemicals", where I'd place thin tracing paper over the print paper and expose through the tracing paper to get that softness. Always worked particularly well with fine detail areas like the branches. Lightroom? Nope, darkroom!

The neat thing is that I decided to experiment with blend modes again and the next thing I knew I had a whole different look to the pic. After that it was on to layer masks and fiddling around until I was happy with it.
