3D Text - Finished piece - workflow from start to finish

Ok first off a big shout out to the member Mixedup who helped me and guided me and gave me a lot of constructive tips and help whilst learning to use Cinema 4d

This is my first piece with Cinema 4D and it was fun - this Sunday I've been working on it all day. I've been messing about with the program for a week but this Sunday I really nailed down.

So the base is made in Cinema 4D - brought into Photoshop and a lot of retouching, using imagery, cutting, using the burn tool, warp tool, blending etc. I havn't done something like this for fun for ages and I just had loads of fun and it's really nice to see the finished piece as I envisioned.

Made to whilst listening to Celine Dion's best love songs haha!

This is where it started -

Just refresh yourself on the image size posting limit on the forums!

Ha! very cool...better then the original tut. So did u use some stock for the smoke like the tut recommended? I tried using alien skin and realized it was crap at that. very nice job holi!!!

Yep I used a lot of different stock pics for smoke/flowers/vines etc and just cut/warped/burnt them up accordingly.

I think I'll stick to learning and messing about with typography before I move onto people - I'm a big fan of typography. Used to do a lot of graffiti as a kid in high school.
