Tuts for beginners on anything...

Hey folks...
I was wondering if anyone had written or knows of any tutorials that taught basic stuff. I don't care what it is teaching you to do (that sounds really bad...) but I need somethin that will better acquaint me w/the controls and features of photoshop and kinda show me what does what and what everything is for. LoL. Kinda general I know, but any help would be appreciated.

I'm not really an expert either, but I'd like to suggest that rather than sorting though problems individually through a messenger service, that they're posted. There's a lot of people out there (as I write this, there are 16 Guests browsing) that are probably wondering the same type of things...
