I am having a go at 3 D grafix again and I was surfing around lookin at doftware sites when I saw this at the Houdini Site they are offering a free version of Houdini apprentice for evaluation and leraning purposes plus there is a competition, might be worth a check out.

If your interested in houdini go to 3d buzz, they have a free houdini class for free and video training manuals you can download for houdini and a buch of other apps, just register, that's free too.

I have download Houdini and signed up for the training on 3Dbuzz. I will let you guys know if it was easy for me or not, I don't consider myself to know much about 3D modeling or animation...
