Adobe Online Training = Good or Bad?

I have recently purchased CS3. And when it arrived in the mail I also purchased a handy-dandy book to provide guidance in learning the program. However, I am really not satisfied with the book. There are not any substantial tutorials. And tool descriptions are no more than definitions and do not got into how several tools can work together to create a finished product.

I'd like something that says "Hey, see this image? It looks messed up, right? Well, we can fix it and here is how we are going to do it."

CS3 came with a video workshop which has helped me much more than the book so far! Not only does it walk through the process but it also shows you exactly what should be happening on your screen.

So I am thinking of purchasing the annual subscription to the video workshop. It seems more in line with what I'd like. Has anyone used it and do you have any thoughts? Thanks.

I haven't found a time when video training didn't answer something.. for me.

I recommend Colin's videos on Photoshop:

    http://photoshopcafe.com/video/products/CS3_Digi.htm
    http://photoshopcafe.com/video/products/CS3_Wacom.htm
    http://photoshopcafe.com/video/HDR.htm

He shows each step, while clearly explaining it too, and you don't need to rely on the internet being up to watch them

I recommend colin smith's tutorials. You mention CS3, Im assuming photoshop? Cs3 is a version of most adobe products right now. Grats on your purchase of cs3,

    http://www.photoshopcd.com/

or the links provided above. I would really recommend getting the Photoshop CS3 Title.

Some of colins other videos, give you a strong understanding of the mechanics of photoshop. So even the older versions of his videos are viable. I would recommend them as well. I have trained myself using them from scratch.

Goodluck. Let us know what you choose to do.
