    Tiger lily

    Going off of my original post here -- these were my results.

    Love the flower shot, really nice....Not liking the typography. needs to be a different colour for one, blends in to much with the lighter parts in the image. maybe a little stroke in there somewhere...? cool idea tho

    Nice! Purely for experimental purposes, maybe try softening the paint effect a little? Like try taking the paint layer and laying it on top of the original unedited layer, and lowering the opacity of the paint layer some to let some of the detail of the original image to show through, or even sharpening the edges of the original layer beneath it a hair, too.

    Thanks for all of the great ideas! I'm new to all of this and thought I would give it a shot. I'm horrible when it comes to picking out text color. I usually stick with black or white. I need to think "outside" of the box

    Every time I click on this thread I think I'm going to see a "Tiger ILLY", like a tiger drawing in illustrator haha.

    two options instead of using a stroke try to use a drop shadow on the type play with the options to get the spread / size right.

    It will bring that type right off there. Another Option Putting a Black background strip and making type white on it. Keep type away from edges by .5 each on all sides. Keep that in mind.
