    Hyperlinking In Indesign

Well I met my great nemesis, followed all possible and checked online.

How do you hyperlink in inDesign?

My hyperlinks end up halfway when clicked, for example www.somewhere.com/something.htm will end up www.somewhere upon clicking.

Can't find any solutions online, please assist!

    I'm pretty desperate now

Elaine, I Google searched “hyperlink InDesign”.
    There are many tutorials.

Here is a quick and easy tutorial how to create a URL Hyperlink.
    I tried it. It works.
I tested the hyperlink by exporting the InDesign File as a PDF with the option include Hyperlinks checked.

    Hope that helps.

Glad you got it to work.
Sometimes Adobe fails to mention the helpful tips.

Yeah, it’s Sunday morning but I do like to start my early mornings by briefly looking over the Café.
What a wonderful community Colin has created. It’s full of sharing and caring people.

Yes, we all know what it is like to bang our heads against the computer for hours and puzzled why things do not work.

In your case, you just had a pdf option you needed to check. It’s off by default.

Again, glad I could help you like you have helped so many in this community.

Looking forward to viewing another masterpiece by Elaine.

    Re: Hyperlinking In Indesign

InDesign supports three kinds of hyperlink destinations:
Document page:When you create a page destination, you can specify the zoom setting of the page being jumped to.

Text anchor:A text anchor is any selected text or insertion-point location in a document.

URL destination:A URL destination indicates the location of resources on the Internet, such as a web page, a movie, or a PDF file. The name of a URL destination must be a valid URL address.

Hyperlink destinations do not appear in the Hyperlinks panel; they appear in the Destination section of the New Hyperlink dialog box.

    Thanks
