I love the barrels shot, it just attracts me!

1st and 2nd --> Herman will always tell me "straighten the horizon!"

The last paranoma looks brilliant too.

Very nice, Hermie....I gotta agree with Elaine on the barrels photo, very intriguing. Also enjoyed your shots on Digifest, looks like you had a great time.

    Thanx!

Some very nice shot to remember your honeymoon by and also remember Scotland. Looking forward to any more you have got. It's been years since I have been in Oban and that brought many memories. Did you get to Glencoe. Shher beauty.

    Indeed the barrels are cool.

    Wonder what's in them ?

    Oh, right.

Personally I prefer the distillery itself though. All those those black tiles and grey stone are quite attractive.

Okay, sorry for editing this comment yet again but I wanted to make sure I got it right.

The distillery is definitely my favourite and here's why. The grey stone and black tiles convey a feeling of solidity. They seem to say "we've been here for a long time and we'll be here a lot longer." If you compare it to the botanical garden for example, the botanical looks like you could knock it down with a decent sized hammer. Not so the distillery, it looks like nothing could knock it down

Well done, you really captured it !

    Thanx Ray.
You are right about straighten the horizon and i should have on the first one (why didn't i!?) but the second one is straightened..... look at the mountains behind the garden walls....

The first shot is taken with the idea to have a (almost) perfect sky. I used masking tool for the sky (two layers).

The second photo there's nothing i did on this one

The third (the barrels) is a very quick shot because the host was ealking away and i had to follow the group (tour).

Fourth photo is the same as the first.... Two layers, one for the sky and one for the building, than masking out (in).

    Fifth, nothing done on it

Sixth is the same with two layers, one for the sky and the other for the palm tree

The rose is a close up (macro) and the colors are reduced in RAW mode.

The panorama is a 4 piece photo. Stitched with Panorama Factory.

Thanx for looking to the other photos as well MikeP.

Did you get to Glencoe. Shher beauty.
Didn't go there. What is it (look at the question mark, because it's an question ) Jim?

Thanx for this good explanation OldGuy. I like that one too. Great colors and a beautiful sky.
