Graphics drawing

Hi - im geting into graphics designing - i can make some stuff with the square and circle marquee tool then fill it but i would like to make it more detailed like more design than just the marquee tool, lines and stuff connecting from one part to another ect - any help would be apreciated or even maybe a tutorial thanks

Thanks, Man the tutorials here are great, Will there be more or is everything covered already in the tutorials? one more question ( probably a stupid question but) when ya use a transparent page will it be clear with no colors when ya save it?

when you save as a transparent it'll save with just the Graphics and no BG.
