    Wolves at the door

Here's an illo I've just done for a magazine for the UK legal profession. It is to illustrate an article about how big companies are always threatening to take over smaller companies. The client's brief was the verbal expression of "wolves lurking outside business premises".
It is largely constructed, textured and rendered in 3D (using mainly Vue 6 Infinite, some modelling done in Carrara 6 Pro) with the people and wolves poses being done in Poser, but the wolves were "textured" in Photoshop using photographic reference.

Very nice work! Did you happen to break into PNeal's personal stock of hair brushes for this? hehe j/k. Simply amazing. Always a treat to look at your work.

Great work Barry, you really managed to create an ominous feeling to the composite, like the wolves are just about to close in for the kill!

Thanks Whubee... no, no PNeal brushes were hurt in the making of this image!

Thanks Ry, the client was also really happy with the mood. How are you going with your 3D, by the way?

You are welcome Barry. My 3-D learning hasn't even started I am ashamed to say, I will definitely make a start on this soon though.

The only thing that bothers me with this image is the amount of drool coming from the wolf's mouth. It by all means looks great but there is too much for my liking. However, it does convey the point you are trying to achieve, which is it hunger to take over the little person.

Hello, it makes me think and dream of doing something like that, it is awsome. I love it! But I wonder when I will be able to do something like that? Congrats!
