Scary. The photo looks great, I would be concerned about being stung. You probably had to get pretty close with a macro lens and have a lot of patience to wait for that shot. Good job.

thanks mate. you are totally true. It was about my tenth beasty bee and I stood rught over it holding the cam in my hands. I have lil table tripod but couldn't use it here. That's why it's still blurry. I won't agress you with all my shots but if you are intrested to see another macro shot which, I think, could have its place in a "clean" photomanip go to my website (click sig) and on the free stuff page download a stock-photo named "echec" and tell me what u think. would be cool

    nice shot, man!
You're getting a lot of use out of that camera!

Looking at the photo, I'm feeling a little skittish and looking for my allergy meds.

I knew you would love macro, and with digi you won't have to shoot dozens of rolls of film for a few good shots. I have a praying mantis on my wall, if I can find the original I'll scan it and post it.
With bug you need a lot of paitents, focus on one spot and move your head in and out.

Great shot Rainer! I almost bought a digi today. Gotta save those pennies, and maybe sell a horse first tho. Ah well, one of these days. Untill then it's back to film for me.:P

thanks folks. it's easy, doing macros when you can use the tripod (which was impossible on this shot).
well, this is just my opinion after my first goes. didn't take much risc by speaking so, did I?
@loiosh I wouldn't sell an animal if I were you, especialy as you seem to love your horses over all. I don't have the money either. Just give up eating for two, three month

nice shot amigo, went out myself last weekend and spent 12 hours outdoors hiking and shooting. Took about 40 shots in a three day span. Hopefully they all turn out well. Yes i still am stuck with processing film. I know i need a digi...Great shot i love the colors and how close you got to get that shot..Stomach growling yet?
