I'm not going to get into a discussion about this but remember that not all games are console based. Most PC games don't have a header. We are not just judging based on Xbox and Playstation, but ALL video games.Originally posted by Papawayne54
Without taking anything away from that, I do have a word for the selection committee. The challenge was to design a video game cover, yet how many real-world covers do not contain game platform headers, age rating symbols, or game developer logos? While these elements may be add-ons to the base image, without them the game cover is incomplete.![]()
Congrats to all!
I like the People Choice Award - it is quite hard, because all finalists are GREAT.
Thanks for the great contest and I cannot wait until next year. - Kiwi is there any chance to have
another contest in few weeks? "hehehe"
And again, great work everybody!
Congrats to all. Very nice entries. I'd submited only one entry and got in the list of finalists, very much excited about it!
I don't know why my entry wasn't chosen for the finals? Just because my entry lacked the creativity, skill, or visual pleasantness of the other entries dosent mean it isn't as good. wait, actually it does....
lol, I crack me up. Seriously fantastic entries, once again pneal blew me away with his entry, I also like elementos a lot. Great job everyone.
as far as the comment that ratings werent on the games, I believe its a US law for games to have a rating on it. But then again this is a contest to create a fictional cover, not a real one.

While this person has been over the top, we have been looking through the entries here in the office, lots of great entries.Originally posted by julioariverajr
In my opinion, I felt that there were more other better designers out there than what was picked. Some were really creative and some were just not suppose to be there. Maybe next time the judges should take more time judging.
We had picked dcloud’s Dodge & Burn and Orb of Light’s Lasso Jak as our top two favourates. But Lasso Jak didn’t even make finalist. We were just wondering why?
We looked at the last Billboard contest which also had amazing entries too. Could someone explain what makes a good entry or even if the judges have time (we know they must be very busy) produce a design and explain it to us to help for future comps.
Again great work to everyone who entered.
