worry - project wont recognise font

Hi
Made an invite with a font on it yet all of a sudden the project brings up exclamation mark where fonts should be in the layers thumbnails. Font was a free font and I have opened the project on another machine and changed mode to CMYK from rgb at work- font is also on work machine. Came home and fonts not recognised but is on the machine that origonally did the design and I checked the font is still there. I cannot edit these type layers now as I cannot auto update font only rasterise.Any ideas this is a real worry.

pack the original font in when u move ur workfile to another machine.

A font is only partially usable on a new/different machine. What this means is you can see the existing words on the layer, but it can't be edited.
