Photoshop illustration

[Altered Sky]

Had to make something in Photoshop to help visualize something not typically seen for a graphics class I'm in. I chose to create a CPU and it's die. This is 100% photoshop.

I still have to add some text, but just wanted to see what you guys thought of the graphics. Thanks.

Skylar, I agree with Elaine that it is very realistic overall but I must ask. On the bottom third of the illustration on the right hand side (I don't know if this is the processor or the die) there seem to be horizontal sections and inside there are vertical lines. Some of the verticals fall within the horizontals but some of them overlap. Is this deliberate shadow or something or are they not quite finished properly. Forgive me if I am talking nonsense but like I said, I don't recognise what it is.

Jim, you are absolutely correct. I accidentally shifted one of my layers down a couple pixels, somehow. I realized this after I uploaded this image and have since fixed it.

You must have a very nice eye..
