Illustrator Glow Problems

Hi All,

Been a long time since i have posted! hehe

I am currently having a problem in Illustrator with glows in general when i try to change the colour of the glow and then press ok. Then look at the glow again the colour has changed ever so slightly. Normally this is not to much of a problem but these files will be seperations and ripped into CMYK.

Below is an image of what is happening, colour i am trying to get is a 100% Magenta glow. But when i apply it and re-check the colour this is what i get.

I think this also happens in PS too...pure cmky is always off by 1 but i think it has something to do with black vs. pure black but not sure. why not work in rgb and then do the conversion at the end of the project? but i am probally out to lunch on this one...i do that with a cyan client that i have and it always works out at the commercial printer...
