    thumbnails gone in win2k

I've recently for some reason lost the ability to see certain image formats at thumbnails when browsing through my folders.

    Win2k SP4 (i believe).

I can see Jpegs, but if I'm not mistaken PNG and PSD files aren't showing.

Somewhere I thought I read this is a registry issue, but I can't find anything.

Most appreciative to any help on this one.........

Welcome to the Cafe! It could well be a registry issue, in that the application associated with file extensions is stored there. It could well be that the assocaition for the png & psd files has been lost somewhere so the system doesnt identify them as image files.

In windows explorer if you right click on one of the files & select "open with" this should allow you to change the association so that they are identified as image files.

Alternativley, still in windows explorer select tools > folder options > file types & you can change it here. This is a just a neater list of the registry settings for the associations in the registry.
