Thread: foreground standout

    foreground standout

Ive seen it on TV a few times. The person in the picture is kinda "off the picture" so to speak. The person appears 3D in a way. Its like cutting the person out and putting it back only a couple of inches off the picture. I know this is confusing, but I hope you know what Im talking about. Ill try to find an example.

    Thanks!

    Welcome Kaliber35!
Sounds like you would like to create an “out of bounds” image.

Do Google search: out of bounds photoshop tutorial.

This is my first atempt. I have a lot to learn, but this is basically what I was looking for. I think next time I'll choose a better picture and maybe use more of the background. I'll also do a better job with the edges.

Actually, is there a way of making the subject in the picture have the same effect without having these "step out" of the frame? Basically, have the subject appear to be 3D only within the picture...
