Practice ideas?

I was just wondering whether there are any sites or people you know who provide ideas/challanges for graphic designers, to give some practice...

Or is the best thing to do just go out and try to find someone that needs something doing?

The reason I ask is because I would like to start doing some work for people in my local area and need some practice...

You can always check the Freebies section of the forum. There are occasionally small jobs there that allow you to practice/flex your skills.

Go to worth1000.com there is a lot of talent there, and all the practice you could ever use.
