I say we do a group project!

So here's my idea, we each take this .psd (linked at the end of the post) and make a small but meaningful addition to it. We host the .psd on rapidshare (not a hard thing. just go upload it) and a preview of what we made so the next person can use it. Now obviously we will end up with some different versions, but that is a game in itself. It will be cool to see all the different things that will come from this. I'll just lay down a couple of guidelines:

Once an addition has been added it can be modified, but not deleted. This means that you should still be able see the addition in some form on the image. For instance, in the basic layout I have a grass silhouette. You could recolor it green if you wished, or you could get the grass brush out and redraw it, but the grassy hill has to remain in the picture in some way.

The addition can't be very large. I realize that the grass is a rather big addition, but we need somewhere to start off. A rule of thumb would be no bigger than the grass, unless it's a background.

Be creative. Don't worry if you think it will look bad, just post it! Even if it does look bad, someone might make a masterpiece of it!

Also, all these rules are subject to creative liscence, but if you feel that a person unjustly broke one of these rules then don't continue the design.

So here is the picture I made (actual size 1600x1280)

And here is the .psd. Make sure you use this and not the .png

I'll play. Here's my addition. I am not sure if you want it to be greyscale but I left it that way. Here is the new psd file.

Hi everyone. I tried to give it a bit more of ambience by adding the background. Here it is http://fotos.sapo.pt/savageblue/pic/0000wssx

Skeptic, would you be willing to retouch your tree?

    Here is the PSD file

this is a cool idea for a game. we used to do the same thing with poetry (Trungpa/Ginsberg/Waldman etc.). But isn't there some Adobenetmeetingshare-a-file space we can use? Rapidshare rots from Nepal I keep getting this message:

You have requested http://rapidshare.com/files/53978455/group_project.psd (10489 KB).
You have reached the download-limit for free-users. Want to download more?
Get your own Premium-account now! Instant download-access! (Or wait 5 minutes)

and it just make me want to take a water pistol to the screen.

By the time this scene is completed, will PS still be sold?

Well, this game has been going on now for 5 months and there is grass, a tree, and now a frog:

Is it because freeload servers like rapidshare and sendspace are slower then the us postal service? They are here, and pretty much unusable. To upload my addition to the game using sendspace it will take 35 days, according to the wizard. So I just put the layers here, so that some kind soul can make the addition for me:
